At Richmond & Kew Football Club we take pride in working with the local schools of both Richmond and Kingston, to run festivals and tournaments throughout the season.
Our "Blue Ribbon" event is the Year 5 "Battle of the Boroughs" where 10 schools from Richmond take on 10 schools from Kingston in a boy's tournament 7-a-side and a girl's tournament, 5-a-side. The round robin stages are in groups of 5 teams, followed by knock out stages for the Cup (1st and 2nd placed teams), the Plate (3rd and 4th placed teams) and the Chalice (the four 5th placed teams).
In association with J.K. Grass Roots Foundation Ltd, it is a great day with trophies for the winners and medals for the runners up in each of the Cup, Plate and Chalice knockout competitions.
We thank members of both Grey Court School and The Kingston Academy who supply "Young Leaders" who assist at all our tournaments - they assist in setting up, reffing and doing the administration to make these tournaments happen.
We also allow Grey Court School to utilise our 3G pitches during the week:
Tuesday 1:20pm - 2:30pm
Thursday 9am - 10am
Friday 11am to midday and 1:20pm to 2:30pm
